Cynwyd, in the Upper Dee Valley, once the site of the ancient boundary courts, has a well-known and picturesque waterfall and below the village there is a fine arched river bridge.

Park near the Post Office and then wander around behind the “Blue Lion” and opposite the “Prince of Wales”, the two pubs of the village. There are excellent walks from here up hill following the river and there is a thriving Edeyrnion Ramblers Association. Most people in the village will be able to point you in the right direction, try at the Post Office.
